  • 1.  where can I find EOL and EOS date for my 2300-C ?

    Posted 23 days ago

when I started looking for EOL date for my Juniper EX2300C, i ended on a site announcing 2024 !!.  but I found out that the site was only announcing products with a "B-" prefix.

    1) what is the diference between a B-EX2300-C and a EX-2300-C ?

    2) where can I get the EOS and EOL dates for my beloved EX-2300-C ?

    merci,

    Michel

Juniper's list of products staring EOL down the barrel are online at

    https://support.juniper.net/support/eol/product/ex_series

The fact your "beloved EX2300-C" is/are not in that list, should be good news for you - they get to live another day, or more.

The B sku's are licenses for "eRate bundle with 3YR license, support, software updates and Sky-E cloud-mgnt", which is what has been EOL'd, the physical hardware doesn't have a listing on the EOL page which means that it hasn't been announced yet. Generally once it is announced you have 6 months left to purchase, followed by 3 years of software updates and then 2 final years of support but with no new patching. The EOL list for EX products is: https://support.juniper.net/support/eol/product/ex_series/

Merci beaucoup for the answers, gentlemen,

Yes , there is the possibility that the absence of EOL date simply means there are no actual EOL date for my babys.

I'll cling to that hope, but keeping in mind that "absence of proof is not proof of absence" ...

the result of  a ctrl-f search on the web page created a small commotion here until I noticed the "B-" prefix.

what I would love is a simple mention on that page saying "no actuall EOL and EOS dates available for this product.

    Thanks again

    Michel

B-stuff are bundles with an EX and «Sky-Enterprise SaaS - Cloud Service» licences.

Those bundles are End of Sale (and were replaced by other licences).

The EX2300 themselves are not End of Sale/Life, and nothing has been announced. However, Juniper seems to actively push EX4000 switches instead.

    Hi Michel,

B-EX2300-C*   - It was eRate bundle with 3YR license, support, software updates and Sky-E cloud-mgnt. Now this bundle End of Sale. So, B-EX2300-C - it's bundle (hardware+software license+support), and  EX-2300-C is hardware with standard license only.

Usually, Juniper announces the End of Sale date six months before this date.  You can use the link to check EOS and EOL date:
