  • 1.  What switch events trigger Mist to push out the config to a switch?

    I'm going to enable Mist management on a switch that has not had it before. I have the current config in the switch config and in the Org template for the switch. I want to force the config to be pushed out when I am consoled into the switch so I can fix any issues that might occur when the Mist version of the config is pushed out.

    • Mist will immediately push the configuration to the switch (assuming that the Mist connection is established), once the Mist management is enabled. So, connect to the switch's console and enable Mist management then, if you want Mist to push configuration when you are consoled into the switch.
    • The other way to trigger the configuration push/sync from Mist (after Mist management is enabled) is to use the sync-configuration option under utilities.

    I'll make sue of trhe Sync Configuration in the menu to make sure the dashboard and the switch are talking.
