Has anyone had any success in getting the vJunos-Switch to successfully "start" in EVE-NG, non-bare metal?   Once I add the vSwitch to my EVE topology, right-click the node to start, EVE event message is displayed that states it's starting, but the device never starts.  I have no issues with the vRouter, it starts normally.   Is this a symptom of not running on a BM server?  I realize these images are not officially supported on non-bare metal but was hoping I could get it to work in a limited fashion.

Hi Rob,

vJunos-switch and vJunos-router are not supported on EVE-NG unless EVE-NG is running on a baremetal server and it is not running in a VM itself. This is stated clearly in our user documentation. Please see the supported deployment environment section. The reason is that vJunos-switch itself is a nested VM where the Junos RE is nested inside the FPC. So nesting the whole thing inside another VM is not advisable, due to issues associated with such multi-nested VMs.  So if you want to use EVE-NG, please deploy it on a bare metal server and then deploy vjunos-switch from there.
