"virtual-gateway-accept-data" command missing from vMX EVPN L3 Gateway

  • 1.  "virtual-gateway-accept-data" command missing from vMX EVPN L3 Gateway

    Posted 03-02-2023 07:46

    Hello,

    I am running a small VXLAN-EVPN deployment with 2 vMXs running as EVPN L3 Gateways.

    I am wanting to use Anycast gateways but the "virtual-gateway-accept-data" seems to be missing from the syntax?

    tom@spine_01# set interfaces irb unit 100 virtual-gateway-?
    Possible completions:
    > virtual-gateway-esi  ESI configuration of virtual gateway
      virtual-gateway-v4-mac  Configure virtual gateway IPV4 virtual MAC address
      virtual-gateway-v6-mac  Configure virtual gateway IPV6 virtual MAC address
    [edit]

    Is there a Chassis fpc/pic knob I need to switch on or a license I need?

    tom@spine_01> show configuration chassis
    fpc 0 {
        pic 0 {
            tunnel-services;
        }
        performance-mode;
    }
    network-services enhanced-ip;

    tom@spine_01> show system license

    My suspicion is that it may be because I am running an older version of the vMX JUNOS (17.2R1.13) - I have tested a later version as it has been unavailable for download recently.

    tom@spine_01> show version
    Hostname: spine_01
    Model: vmx
    Junos: 17.2R1.13

    Any help/advice appreciated :)

    Thanks,

    Tom
