Upgrading Junos Space

Is it possible to jump versions via  to 24.1 or are we better off spinning up a new 24.1 vm and having Juniper upgrade our database?

24.1 Requires the creation of a new VM.  There are special migration steps noted in the release notes/docs, but you cannot do an upgrade.

19.4 Documentation is now archived as that version of the product is EOL.

Archives can be found here:  https://www.juniper.net/documentation/us/en/internal/archives/topics/topic-map/junos-space-archives.html

You can upgrade to 24.1 only via 23.1R1 albeit via a multi-step approach.

The upgrade process is described in detail here: https://www.juniper.net/documentation/us/en/software/junos-space24.1/junos-space-workspaces/topics/task/junos-space-platform-24.1-upgrading.html

There is no straight-upgrade process, as 24.1 now uses Rocky Linux 9.2 (Blue Onyx), where-as versions earlier than 23.1R1 used CentOS and there is no direct upgrade path.   Your upgrade path once you have got to 23.1R1 will involve a multi-step approach as described in the above link.

I see firmware 20.3 is supported but what about 20.4?

Following up on this since there seems to be two different references on what firmware is supported on the new Junos Space:

What are you trying to figure out between Junos Space and with Security Director?  Sounds like either doc hasn't been updated, or it could be that 20.4 was only validated with Security Director and not with Junos Space.

I don't know the answer to this unfortunately.

I just want to know if Junos Space supports 20.4.  We have a few bits of hardware on 20.4 yet.

Did some testing on 24.1 and was able to adopt and manage an ex4300 with 18.1 on it if anyone else is looking for an answer.
