  • 1.  upgrading Apstra from 4.x to 6.x

    I would like to upgrade Apstra from 4.x to 6.1. 

    1. Would the recommended best practice be to go to 5.0/5.1 first and test, or is it okay to go to 6.1 directly?
    2. Is there any document/web link that best describes the steps for this type of upgrade and the caveats to consider for this 2 major version upgrade?
    3. I understand that I need to create a new VM. What are some things to consider regarding re-use the same Apstra IP or is it better to use a new IP?

    Hi.

    Upgrade to Version 6.1.2

    Upgrade to Version 5.1.0

    Upgrade to Version 5.0.0/5.0.1

    You can edit the URL version manually and you can see each upgrade path.

    A upgrade path from 4.x to 6.1 isn't explicitly documented, but it seems possible.

    To follow official approach, you would need to proceed through 4.x → 5.0 → 5.1 → 6.1.
