How to get the most from Juniper's education services and get advice on your certification journey.

I completed the CCNA and once I got a job working for a small ISP that uses Juniper equipment, shortly afterwards passed the JNCIA. Now I am studying for the JNCIS-SP using mostly Udemy videos. I have a home lab set up and use the J-Labs sandbox as well. My problem is that I find the Udemy course boring and inefficient. If there were a faster, more direct way of going about this I would like to find it out. Sometimes I think if I tried to pursue the CCNP instead it would be easier for the obvious reasons. Any advice on how to get certifications faster or just how to learn faster.

    Any advice greatly appreciated.

    Ben

I recommend the official Juniper training.

I agree with Jonathan. The official Juniper study materials are great. Especially if you can pick up an All Access Training Pass so you can take the live courses.

    Hi, Ben!

As you've already passed the JNCIA-Junos, you can request access to the official courses for free here:
    https://learningportal.juniper.net/juniper/user_activity_info.aspx?id=EDU-JUN-WBT-JOL-JNCIS-SP

The virtual labs and ebooks offered in the payed version of the courses are not included. But the courses offer excellent study materials to help you prepare for the exam. By the end of the course, there is a practice exam that will give you a discounted exam voucher if you reach the passing score, 70%.

Those courses are self-paced so you can make your study much more dynamic than using a video course. For sure, it's a "more direct way" to acquire the knowledge and experience you need to get your JNCIS-SP certification. Apart from that, there are some Juniper Day One books that covers important topics for your preparation.

    Good luck!
