Throughput tests on EX switches

    Bonjour,

    I known I Am not the first to ask the question, but please use this as an opportunity to update the situation.

     

    I want to quickly conduct a speedtest for my main site to any of my 260 EX2300 installed in the province whenever a client mention  speedtest issues

    My first solution would have been ton install Iperf3 on my 2300s as server and do a quick performance test when I need to, therefore bypassing any client's equipment.

    I have read that it is not possible, but recently it seems it is on MX routers  https://supportportal.juniper.net/s/article/IPERF-also-known-as-RFC-2544-Based-in-MX-Routers?language=en_US

    So my question is threefold:

    1. Any suggestion on a throughput testing system running on my  2300s ?
    2. Has anyone tried the Iperf3 installation on MX routers ?
    3. I toy with the idea of purchasing a zillion  Rasbperry Pi and hook them to a port of my Junipers. Anybody tried that ?
