How to get the most from Juniper's education services and get advice on your certification journey.
  • 1.  Taking JNCE from AMER but using a APAC or EMEA time slot.

Starting my JNCIE SEC studies.  Passed JNCIP SEC this weekend.   I want to sign up for a JNCIE time slot.   I took my first two JNCIEs using a AMER time slot.

There are EMEA and APAC time slots open.  If I grabbed one of those times slots and was in AMER, can you tell if there is a lot of latency using the Juniper labs?

    Hi Kyle,

    Thank you for reaching out.

Latency depends more on the user's own internet speed since it can play a large part in their experience (example low bandwidth circuit or using a phone hotspot, etc.).

We have an article describing the connectivity requirements here: https://juniper-training.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/207905838-Connectivity-Recommendations

    Hope this helps,

    Congratulations on you recent certification!

Currently the exam racks are all hosted in the US so you should not see any additional latency versus your previous exams. Feel free to book any available time slot in whatever region you are comfortable with. The exams will be delivered based on the regions timezone so it will be during a non-standard US time frame, so you will want to pay special attention to the conversion to assure you are present and ready to take the exam when it starts.
