Thanks for the reply and I do know about the licensing requirements. I purchased the SRX-210 used and was able to obtain a license for it from Juniper but that was some years ago and it does not appear that Juniper provides licenses to individuals - or if they do I can't find it. So that's basically what I'm asking here, how can I get a personal use/lab license for an SRX-345?

While it is commendable to use an SRX as a home FW, Juniper (as most vendors) are not very supportive when it comes to transferring ownership of used equipment. The license to use and upgrade Junos is tied to the original owner, not subsequent buyers. You'd basically have to purchase a license to use Junos on that platform in order to be able to upgrade the SRX legally (will, to be in the clear contractually at least). I would say that the release you have isn't bad, but I also understand that you want a recent release for all kinds of reasons.

I upgraded my SRX-210 to an SRX-345 and I'm trying to find out how to upgrade the OS. Currently running --- JUNOS 19.4R3-S1.3 built 2020-12-02 21:44:48 UTC.
First, what steps do I need to take to upgrade to something close to the latest.
Second, how can I download the updates?
I apparently no longer have access to the downloads. Is there a way to register the SRX-345 that I purchased? I did not buy it from Juniper but from Dedicated Networks. My guess is that it was a refurbished router.
Thanks!
