  • 1.  SRX340 on Firmware version Junos 21.2R3-S2

    Hello guys,

I would like to update my SRX340 to newer junos OS version and confuse about which version I should upgrade.
I saw the JTAC recommends the 21.2R3-S2 version but I'm not sure whether there are new problems and bugs that come with the version.
Are there people who already set this new firmware on production and how is it going?
    Thank you.

The general answer to these upgrade questions is the review of release notes for the version and platform in question.

    • You navigate to the download site
    • Select you platform and model
    • Select the Junos version of interest
    • Then open the documentation area
    • Navigate to Release notes
This would be the page for SRX340 21.2
    https://www.juniper.net/documentation/product/us/en/srx340/#cat=release_notes&tab=release_22.1&sgroup=junos-os

The general release notes for the major version review the changes in behavior and issues resolved and still affecting the 22.1R2 version
    https://www.juniper.net/documentation/us/en/software/junos/release-notes/22.1/junos-release-notes-22.1r2/index.html

From here you can first review the details on your specific version 21.2R3s-2
    https://supportportal.juniper.net/s/article/22-1R1-S2-SRN?language=en_US

Gives you the software fixes list of all the problems that are resolved in this new release along with the list of issues that are still known to exist in this release so you can see if any of these are potentially in your configuration.
