I have been experiencing high log file churning on some SRX340 routers with the license log file.
Operating the 23.4R2-S2.1 firmware, I am seeing the following lines repeating multiple times with just the feature ID number changing. They run from 0 to 343 in full sequence, before repeating. The unit is not on the internet, and has just the two original licenses that came on the unit, neither of which are in use.
<DATE> LEGACY_LICENSING: lc_read_feature_usage_by_daemons feature id <0-343> user count 0
Occasionally I see the following group of logs also
<DATE> LEGACY_LICENSING: licfeat_validity_get_type_internal featureID <0-343> validity type 0
I have tried creating a system syslog file license entry to block it, but it continues to journal at excessive rates, with each block of the first report generating 344 lines recorded every 10 seconds. The second report generates less often but still creates all 344 lines.
An existing KB relating to QFX5110 exists under KB91144, that suggested that the latest version of Junos will resolve it with 24.4R1 - which not only completely rebuilds the underlying FreeBSD and file systems, but also does nothing to this logging as I have tried it.
Any suggestions to prevent the onboard storage from burning out with the quantities of writes?
