  • 1.  Spotty behaviour in MPLS EVPN multihoming

    was using multihoming and found that all active worked fine in p2mp but not single active. nothing worked in p2p.

    following the official guide, i only put the ce-facing interface under routing instance but not 'protcols evpn'.

    what exactly does this knob do? adding and removing that would somehow mess up the forwarding intermittently.

    has anyone experience this?

    just replicated this in IOS XE in all active mode.

    when the DF PE failed, the CE immediately lost forwarding despite DF reelection occurred within seconds.

    looks like the ARP update got some problem that it won't switch over to the other PE since the CE can't even reach the anycast IRB.

    anyone experienced this before?
