  • 1.  Recommended Upgrade Path for SRX1500

    Greetings,

    Currently our SRX1500 has the firmware 21.4 installed.

    What is the upgrade path you would recommend for upgrading to the latest version 25.2?

    any special actions i should take before starting the upgrade process in terms of backup or partitions creation?

    Please advice.

    I would suggest by first reading the release notes for 25.2 to identify the upgrade path that is supported, and once you have identified the interim releases necessary reference those release notes as well for any additional upgrade steps that might be required.

    You can also reach out to JTAC and see if they have validated any direct upgrade paths that can be used as well.

    1. I would not go to 25.2, as this is probably too recent, and just full of fresh new issues. I would go to the last 23.4R2-S5 (which is the suggested one).
    2. You'll have to do 21.4 -> 22.4 -> 23.4R2-S5
