The inet.1 table is primarily where the multicast routes are stored and used for active requests by multicast participants.

Subject: Question on the inet.1 table
Hi all.
The inet.1 table is used to record the S,G values of incoming packets that have passed the RPC check.
Is the inet.1 table used for further RPF checks of the rest of the packets of the same S,G stream, or is the inet.1 table purely informational?
Thanks,
Deepak
