    Hi all.

    I understand that configuring a subscriber interface with 'mac-validate loose' will have the subscriber interface verify only the source MAC of incoming subscriber packets - not the source IP address.  

    But I thought this is what a sub-interface does without any mac-validate configuration.

    So my question is: What is the difference between configuring a subscriber interface without mac-validate and configuring it with 'mac-validate loose'?.
