Hi everyone,
We have a lot of spokes sites that are on SAT COM , if spokes goes down and stays down for over 1 hr, all LSA on spoke site get aged out. This will result in longer time for spoke site to be full functional ( OSPF LSA are exchanged over small BW long latency SAT COM CKT , greater the number of LSA , longer it takes for spoke site to reach " Full" OSPF neighbor state).
I did some testing with OSPF flood reduction that literally shaves off 20 seconds for my spoke sites to reach OSPF full state in my lab testing.
My question to community is have you guys encountered any issues when using OSPF flood reduction in your production network?
Much appreciated!!
