    I have several NFX250s that did not get used and recently expired. We decided that we wanted to possibly use them to replace Cisco firewalls, using that at the main office and using SRXs for the home offices.

    I begin the upgrade process but cannot seem to download the required Junos OS 18.4R2 package for NFX250.

    The solution, I figured out is to just download the image, and do a clean install using Version 21.2R3.8. Installed using the USB, formatted with Rufus.

    Using the old Hyper terminal did not work well with the selection of the boot device, used Putty and installed with no other issues.

    Problem solved.
