There are a lot of choices, Check this documentation that lists the compatibility of the MPC and PIC cards by platform and Junos version.
https://www.juniper.net/documentation/us/en/hardware/mx-module-reference/mx240/topics/concept/mpc-mx-series-supported.html
Also note that the 4 port PIC you have now is XFP optics while the vast majority of options will be the smaller SFP optics. So take the optics change into account during the transition too.

Subject: mx-mpc2-3d (mx240) : How many 10gb ports can it support
I have a mx240 which has a now EOL MX-MPC2-3D card installed. We have a single 4 x port MIC-3D-4XGE-XFP card installed in one of the two slots.
My question is will the MPC card support another of the same MIC-3D-4XGE cards to be installed in the second slot for 80Gb total bandwidth through the MPC card? I think it will as I can't find anything limiting it but thought I'd check. thank
