  • 1.  Mutihomed VPLS and backup link state disable or link up?

    Hi everyone,

    I cannot find confirmed answer if backup link in multiomed VPLS case stays disable or down as long as primary link is up?

    Appreciated!!

    Say CE is mutihomed to PE1 and PE2. PE1 is primary.

    PE1 "show vpls connections" will show UP to remote PEs.

    PE2 "show vpls connections" will show a down state (don't remember which exact flag)

    PE1 interface facing CE will be UP/UP

    PE2 Interface facing CE. Physical interface should still be UP/UP, but logical system has a CCC down

    On CE, since it's not an ae bundle, it can figure out PE1 is primary (via mac learning?)
