  • 1.  Multicast PIM join question

    Posted 07-19-2024 20:26

    I have the following topology

    My issue is:

The receiver (10.74.42.38 )  reports group 255.239.0.0. CE and RR have PIM join for all the 3 source subnets, but QFX10008 has only PIM join sourcing from 10.146.30.0/24, no sourcing from 10.146.32.x/24 and 1o.146.33.0/24.

How can I validate Whether RR does not send PIM join to QFX10008 or QFX10008 drops PIM join for some reasons ?

    thanks so much !!

The multicast trace process is outlined in this kb article.
