Is there a way to disable email alerts for a single Juniper Mist AP? We use one AP in conference rooms and frequently move it around, which triggers alerts every time it disconnects and reconnects.

    Hi Shan,

I did an internal search and found this info. Does this help?

To disable email alerts for a single Juniper Mist AP, you cannot directly silence one device, but you can create a dedicated site for that AP and use the Alerts Configuration page to disable alerts for that specific site, as described by HPE Juniper Networking in the Alerts Overview documentation. Navigate to Monitor > Alerts, select Alerts Configuration, and set the scope to the specific site to limit notifications.
Steps to Disable Alerts for a Specific AP:
    1. Move the AP: Create a new or separate Site (e.g., "Lab" or "Conference Room") and move the specific AP into that site under Organization > Inventory.
    2. Access Alert Configuration: Go to Monitor > Alerts and click Alerts Configuration.
    3. Create a New Template: Click Create Template.
    4. Define Scope: Under "Applies to Scope," select Sites and choose only the site where the specific AP is located.
    5. Disable Alerts: In the "Alert Types" section, deselect the alerts (e.g., Down/Up events) that you want to stop receiving via email.
    6. Save: Save the template.
Alternatively, if the alerts are temporary, you can use Monitor > Alerts > Pause Alerts to stop notifications for that site for a designated time.
