  • 1.  Mist AP default VLAN issue

Hi, I created an organization site in Juniper Mist.

Then I created a switch template and assigned it to EX2300-48p model switches. I have AP24 Access Points connected to EX2300 swithces.

APs get the IP address from the block they should get it from which is 172.22.100.0 but they're getting  the IP from wrong VLAN. VLAN must be 1100 and I configured it in APs but yet, they seems to belong in VLAN 1 (default).

Am I missing something? How can I solve this issue, any suggestions?

Hi,  Can you validate vlan 100 or 1100? Also, are you using  tagged or untagged vlan on the switch? Share your switch port configuration!

    Hi Bengisu,

As of the switchport is configured in trunk mode with native vlan id 1100, the vlan configuration on the AP can be left blank. All untagged traffic from the AP will be assigned to vlan 1100 on the switchport as it arrives there. This will also sent the DHCP request to the correct pool configured for vlan 1100.

    Regards,

    Peter
