Can you check to see if that port has link on the switch? Could be a bad port on the phone.

Subject: mac address issue on EX4300
I have an issue with a device that is connected to a wall port that's connected to an ex4300 switch. I am unable to find the device's mac address in the mac address table and thus the device is not receiving an IP address. I have tried switching the cables connected directly to the wall from the phone and I am receiving the same problem. I then tried to connect the phone directly to the switch and I am still unable to find the mac address in the switch. I have configured 3 new ports with data and voice vlans and whenever I try to connect the voip device to the newly configured ports(directly from device to switch), I am still unable to find the mac address of the device. So my question is, why wouldnt the switch be able to dynamically learn a device's mac even when it is directly connected to the switch port.
For more context, this is a cisco 8841 VOIP phone. The phone is displaying the message "Verify network connection"
