    Hello,

    I was wondering, if preempt is enabled on an SRX cluster and the primary node goes down, what happens to changes made on the secondy node that is active when the primary node comes up and takes over the active role?
    Does the primary active node recognise the newer config in its peer node and copy it, or does it impose its older config on the noz stqndby node?

    Hello, 

    There are two types of redundancy groups in chassis cluster, 1) Redundancy Group 0 and 2) Redundancy Group 1+ 

    RG 0 is for Control plane and RG1+ is for Data plane. 
    Preempt can be enabled only for RG 1 + ( which is for data plane ) 

    When the primary ( assuming node0 ) goes down, Node 1 takes over and becomes new primary.  When the node0 comes back online, it would be be in secondary state for the control plane and primary for all the RG's where preempt is configured.  When node0 comes online here, it would sync all its config and session details from node1 ( which is currently primary )
