What's the duration between Juniper exams if you fail your first attempt? Can you take the exam the very next day? 

This below message is on Juniper's website:

Candidates who fail their first attempt at an exam can retake it at any time. However, for any future attempts, a candidate must wait a period of 14 calendar days, beginning the day after the failed attempt, before they may retest for the same exam. Once the exam is passed, the candidate must wait at least 18 months before retaking the exam, which would generally be for recertification purposes.

The way I read it is that if you fail your first attempt, you can take the exam at any time. After the second failure, you have to wait for 14 days is what I read here.

Can anyone from Juniper team confirm please?

while I'm not a Juniper employee I still know the answer ;)

You are reading this Correct.

1st attempt -> no „cooldown"

2nd attempt and all further attempts -> 14 days „cooldown".

So yes - you can take it the very next day if it was close - however from experience I would advise to re-visit the topics and after that going for the exam again. It's not a race - take your time :)
