  • 1.  Juniper EX4300 Upgrade path

    Hello Folks, 

    i have a Juniper EX4300-24T that i have upgrade from 14.1X53-D54.1 to 19.4R3-S13.2 on a direct Upgrade all went good, 

    But since i want to upgrade to the next Hop which normally should be 21.4R3-S8 responding to the rules not more than 2 services Releases , it is failing during the validation check , with the error below 

    Validation failed
    ERROR: Current configuration not compatible with /var/tmp/jinstall-ex-4300-21.4R3-S8-signed.tgz
    WARNING: Current configuration not compatible with /var/tmp/jinstall-ex-4300-21.4R3-S8-signed.tgz

    Same when i choose to upgrade to 20.4R3-S10 or 20.4R1-S1 etc...

    what is the correct upgrade path from the version . my device has 5 FPC members 

    14.1X53-D54.1

    The upgrade should work if you use the 'no-validate' option when upgrading to 21.4R3-S8. The below article specifies the no-validate option must be used for upgrades 21.2 and later.
