Switching

Greetings,

We have a location with EX2300-48mp switches running 23.4R1-S2.4 which seems to be resetting ports automatically for its users connections. We've made exceptions for Stormcontrol for those users which clears up the issue, but there seems to by no rhyme or reason that we can think of that triggers Stormcontrol. We've checked for rogue servers, loops in connections, any missconfigured downstream switches, but nothing has shown it's head. At first we thought it was limited to users who are doing large file transfers, but seems to now include anyone who decides to run a ping, or even normal office usage, browsing the web, Zoom Telecon etc. 

We have a 2nd site running the same switches running 21.4R3-S4.18 and so far that location does not seem to have the same issues. Is there a sensitivity setting for storm control or something we may want to look at that might be attributing to this issue? We'd like to not just create exceptions for everyone if we can help it.

If you downgrade the 23.4R1-S2.4 switch back to 21.4R3-S4.18, and you still have the exact same issues, you then know it's not 23.4 causing the problem.  Check cables, check auto-negotiation, check PoE, check logs for interesting messages.
