  • 1.  J-Web not starting on SRX320 after upgrade to Junos 25.2

    Hello community,

    I recently upgraded few SRX320 devices to newest firmware 25.2R1 and now I'm unable to access the J-Web interface. When I try to connect via browser, I get a 503 Service Unavailable error. Attempting to restart web-management from CLI results in: 

    jlaunchd: JLAUNCHD_PROC_EXIT: process trousers exited with status 137

    Digging deeper, I found this in the system logs:

    TrouSerS ERROR: Could not find a device to open!

    I assumed this error is related to the TPM module,  however TPM seems to be present and initialized correctly because I see this message during startup: 

    Found TPM SLB9660 TT 1.2 by Infineon
TPM initialized

    I've also tried:

    • Clearing PKI certificates

    • Removing phone-home

    • Reinstalling J-Web

    • Rebooting the device

    • Factory reset

    Same error seems to be on all SRX 320 that was upgraded (5 units) 

    Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi,

    Upgrade the firewall firmware to JTAC recommended Junos Version.

    Note: It is highly recommended to refer to the Release Notes, TechnicalDocumentation, and KB articles for any outstanding and resolved issues before making the upgrade decision.

    Hi Andy,

    this issue was discussed in topic: J-Web not starting on SRX320 after upgrade to Junos 25.2 | SRX

    I found solution for own srx-320 device in next steps:

    First (re)install jweb package with 

    request system software add optional://jweb-srx-app

    and reboot the device.

    Then add to your config interface statement:

    set system services web-management https interface irb.0

    JWeb seems to not working without this statement in newer software..

    Also is good idea to clear your browser cookies and history after those steps.. 

    Hope this helps! Please advice if you still have issues with J-Web
