  • 1.  Ex4650 routing to internet from all vlans

    Hi all

I've got an ex4650 that I've configured one interface with the IP of our upstream Cisco router and routing options next hop to that IP's gateway.

From the switch I can now ping 8.8.8.8 as well as the gateway of that public IP configured in the next hop.

my problem is I can't ping either from any other interface on the switch.  I can ping the IP of the interface I configured and other gateways and IP devices connect to the switch.

I just can't "get out" from any of them.  I know this has to be something so small that I'm just missing it.

    Thanks in advance!

Basically if I "ping interface [interface] [IP] where IP equals the configured gateway from any other interface except the one configured  I get "no route to host".

The problem seems to be your Cisco router.  Make sure it is configured to source NAT from these other internal nets and that it has a route back to these internal nets.
