Okay that is interesting, have you tried the juniper recommended version 23.4R2-S4? If you still see the issue then raise it to JTAC.

I should probably add that the appearance of red/orange LED's occurs both when a device is connected and when there is no device plugged into the ports. It often occurs if you issue a CLI "request system power-off at now" command and once it has shutdown one to four status LED's go on continuously red/orange but the pattern seems random. It'd be useful if there was some LED indication of when the mge ports are running at 2.5Gb but there is no mention of that in the Juniper online manuals for the EX4100-48MP. It does it on versions 22.4R3.25 , 23.4R2.13 and 24.2R2.18 firmware.

I have been unable to find anywhere in the Juniper manuals for EX4100-48MP switches what the meaning is for when a RJ45 ethernet network port status LED turns continuous red/orange instead of the usual green. It's only ever either port 00, 01, 02 or 03 and can be a single port or up to 4 at a time. The red/orange comes on continuously/static, never flashing. A power cycle clears it and there's never anything in the alarms or logs about it when it happens. Anyone know why it is happening and/or what it signifies, and why there's no mention of it in the Juniper chassis manual? Any tips would be welcome thanks.
