You might want to try this if you want to use the RJ45 port instead:
root@switch# set system ports console port-type ?
Possible completions:
mini-usb Enable mini-USB
rj45 Enable RJ45

Does it eventually boot so you can enter the CLI?
Try connecting to the USB console port and see if you get additional logging of the boot process.
I have had a few switches in this state and it can be frustrating to say the least.

Hello all. I have a EX2300-C that is failing to boot. It will start to boot, but it seems to hang up part way. However, it doesn't ever show a kernel error or the part of the boot screen that gives you the option hit ctrl+c to interrupt the boot cycle.
I have tried rebooting via the reset button (hold it for 10 seconds, release, hold for 10) and it didn't do anything. when the SYS light stops flashing the SPD light also lights ups. If I press the menu button so the DX or EN light is on, the LEDs on the Ethernet ports will light up.
A picture of the front panel and the CLI are posted below.
Any help or suggestions are appreciated.
Cheers.
