Hi Everyone,
I'm seeing a persistent issue across an EX Virtual Chassis where the PoE management bus seems to be locking up, causing brief (approx. 5-second) WiFi drops for users.
The Symptoms:
Frequent logs: CMQFX_POE_ARG3_ERR: PoE: poe_get_status: Failed to get interfaces status.
Critical errors: PoE: Failed to read voltage measurements.
Impact: APs seem to "hiccup." While show poe interface shows the ports as "ON," users are being dropped briefly, suggesting a micro-power cycle when the management bus resets.
Troubleshooting done: Multiple cold power drains (60+ seconds) haven't cleared it. Attempts to upgrade PoE firmware fail/show as incompatible/corrupted.
Sample Logs:
fpc1 PoE: Failed to read voltage measurements
fpc3 CMQFX_POE_ARG3_ERR: PoE: poe_get_status: Failed to get interfaces status port group 26-36 [4]
fpc0 PoE: Failed to read voltage measurements
fpc4 CMQFX_POE_ARG3_ERR: PoE: poe_get_status: Failed to get interfaces status port group 0-10 [1]
fpc5 CMQFX_POE_ARG3_ERR: PoE: poe_get_status: Failed to get interfaces status port group 11-21 [2]
Has anyone seen these CMQFX_POE_ARG3_ERR errors specifically leading to drops? Is this a known I2C bus hang or am I looking at multiple FPC hardware failures?
