from the command info, it says encapsulation dix is ethernet 2.

however, you must enter a vlan id if flexible-vlan-tagging is used.

so is this vlan id tagged or untagged or is encapsulation dix vlan unaware like encapsulation ethernet-bridge?

apparently the vlan id is tagged since encapsulation flexible-ethernet-services requires flexible-vlan-tagging, which in term requires a vlan id.

however, you can use encapsulation dix without vlan id when you don't have encapsulation flexible-ethernet-services.

but then what is the difference between encapsulation dix and encapsulation ethernet-bridge as they can only be configured under unit 0?
