  • 1.  Burst size calculated when none specified

    Posted 15 days ago

    Hi everyone,

I am just wondering if there is command I can use to see the burst size in use when user does not defined one.

    Example:

    set class-of-service traffic-control-profiles 4M scheduler-map TEST
    set class-of-service traffic-control-profiles 4M shaping-rate 4m

    set class-of-service interfaces ge-0/0/1 unit 199 output-traffic-control-profile   4M

Above we define a shaper but we do not define any burst size,  so what burst size JUNOS assume and  uses then? How can we see that?

    Thanks !!

Looks like the default is the minimum configuration of 1500.

    bytes-Burst size limit in bytes.

    • Range: 1,500 through 100,000,000 bytes

    • Default: 1,500 kilobits (187,500 bytes)
