U can check on MIST portal whether its have option for RTG. If not then u need manually add in the MIST portal.

Hi kronicklez,
Thanks for your reply. We have a juniper switch having model EX4100-F-48P that is being managed from the MIST Cloud Portal. Please let me know if this RTG feature will work on it or not.
Thanks

Hi,
RSTP is running on IoT controllers. So there spanning and Juniper spanning tree collide with each other and this issue is occurring.
Please let us know if there are any options in juniper to apply the flex configuration just like in the cisco switches in which one interface can become primary and the other interface can become secondary.

Hi,
RSTP edge should be enabled only on the access ports connected to end devices that do not send STP BPDUs. E.g. on an access port connected to a laptop. If the RSTP edge is enabled on the IOT controller ports, and the IOT controllers send BPDUs, then the port will go into BPDU error state, which is expected.
- Does the spanning tree topology change, OR do you have a loop in the network if the edge-port is disabled? (Check if the Juniper switch and the IoT controller both become the root bridge),
- Which version of STP runs on IoT controllers? Does it support RSTP? (e.g. RSTP is not supported on Cisco switches and we need to enable VSTP on Cisco facing).

Hi,
If I disabled RSTP edge on the port-profile, then due to spanning tree topology change, we are getting drops in the network due to which services gets affected. So what will be the way out of this as we want to connect IOT controllers with juniper switches.

Hi,
It looks like the IOT controllers are sending BPDUs to the switch. As the port is configured as RSTP edge, the switch will block if any BPDU is received on these ports.
- Please disable RSTP Edge on your port-profile.
- "clear bpdu error interface all"

Hello Team,
We are facing an issue. A Juniper switch is connected with an IOT controller that has 2 ports (one for input and the other for output). So when this controller gets connected in series one after the other, the juniper switch blocked the port that is connected with the switch.
We have enabled RSTP on the switch template of the VLAN and port is on access mode.
The port profile configuration is below. Can someone help out how to solve this problem?
