  • 1.  All interfaces shut down for no reason, including management and console.

    Hello,

    I have a QFX5100-48t-6q, running version 16.1R3.10. Inexplicably, all interfaces are shutting down sporadically without any routine. When I bought the switch, this happened a couple of times and I didn't give it any importance. Several months later, it started happening again. The only solution to get the switch working again is to unplug it and plug it back in. Nothing unusual appears in the system logs. Has anyone found a solution to this problem?

    Hi,

    16.1 is such an old version, I would recommend upgrading to the current recommended version of 21.4R3-S10

    We have had something similar (all ports shut down EXCEPT mgmt and console,) but we were running a newer version.  The fix was updating BIOS on the switch itself.  This is the document we used for the QFX5120-32C.

    However there are no firmwares/bios on Juniper download pages for QFX5100 / EX4600.

    I would first upgrade the JunOS, I think.

    I just looked at our old support ticket.  Our FPC cratered and the fix was to upgrade the Intel Bios...

    This issue is being tracked by PR1675832

    Fix for the Intel@ TSX issue is available with updated BIOS
    Suggested BIOS with fix: QFX5120-32C V49 20220530
