Hi Dmytro,
This is quite a specific use case that we strongly recommend to take JTAC or Profession service engagement. This requires protocols, rpd infra and platform expertise
On the interface, the max label it can put is 16. This includes transport label, vpn label and bypass label, all.
We've ran into issues with SR deployment that when resolving protocols next-hop, the default label stack is 4 to resolve next-hops, a knob is required increase the limit
set routing-options forwarding-table chain-composite-max-label-count 16
Similar caveats exist on different platform. Thus a dedicated lab for the scenario with juniper experts will help answer your questions further

Subject: ACX7024X label imposition limit
Dear Juniper experts,
On ACX7024 platform, by default the label imposition limit on an interface is 3. The JUNOS config allows to configure maximum-labels up to 16. However, even with 16 configured on all interfaces, the router advertises the MSD of 4 in IS-IS and BGP-LS.
I know that Qumran 2 can impose maximum 8 labels, but I couldn't find any relevant Juniper documentation regarding label limit on the ACX platforms.
So my questions are:
- How many labels can ACX7024 push at once?
- Is there a separate limit for transport and service labels?
- Does the MSD of 4 concern only transport labels, or the entire label stack?
- Does this also include TI-LFA labels for repair path?
Thanks,
Dmytro
