    Hello,

Has anyone had any success on 10G RFC testing with the Juniper ACX2200 to an ACX710/7100 or MX240/480.

    Thank you.

Are you talking about RFC testing using Junos between those devices?  Hanging off my Juniper gear, I use Accedian devices as CPE for ethernet service delivery, and do the RFC testing within the Accedian.  We have run tests at about ~9.7 gbps.  If you are doing RFC testing inside the Juniper, I would like to see the configuration you use please.

If you are talking about using Junos RPM services and rfc2544 testing, it is hardware dependent.  Our MX480 systems only support a subset of testing due to our HW configuration.  There is specific documentation in the KB that outlines requirements and restrictions for various combinations of HW and testing capabilities.  We just used a Viavi test set with a 10GE SFPP across telco to a looped port on a remote MX to qualify new LH telco circuits.

David, can you please share KB link, and also the config to loopback an ethernet port?

    Aaron.

This is what I referenced in my research.  Like I said, we were looking to use the MX as the test devices but they are not fully supported.  So we used test sets as I described previously.  That ended Junos RPM rfc2544 benchmarking for me on the routers at that point. Several other Series were mentioned by OP.

Enabling Support for RFC 2544-Based Benchmarking Tests on MX Series Routers | Junos OS | Juniper Networks

IPERF (also known as RFC 2544-Based) in MX Routers (juniper.net)

another option we didn't explore was reflection service functionality and.  It was quicker and easier to use the 3rd party test set for our purposes.

Use an available 10GE port for testing the circuit.  There are some cases where loopback interfaces can both loop and process traffic so using a test interface for this process is recommended.

    all-being@super-router# set interface xe-0/0/0 gigether-options loopback-remote

    Hope this helps!
