    Hi Swati,

    Seems you have shared "show chassis hardware extensive " however if it is not showing output means you have issue with FEB on slot 3, please try reseating it or replace it.

    Hi Swati,

    FEB in slot 3 is in "present state" means FEB is present in this slot. If there was no FEB for any slot there will be no output when you issue "show chassis feb detail". When you do "show chassis feb" the output will display  "EMPTY" state

    Although I see there is a configuration as well so it looks like FEB is present. Please get it verified with the customer.

    fpc 2 {
                feb 3;
            }

    sure I will verify this with customer.

    If customer says it is present then how to go further, does this mean issue with FEB 3 which needs to be replaced or I should try with re-seat of FEB 3.

    If reseat of FEB-3 then can it be done physically by just removing it out and then inserting it back or we have some other steps to follow?

     see below log messages:-

    %DAEMON-3-CHASSISD_POWER_CHECK: FPC 2 not powering up
    chassisd[1539]: %DAEMON-3-CHASSISD_VOLTAGE_SENSOR_INIT: Unable to initialize voltage sensor for FEB 3 (group 7, address 53)
    target ack failure on byte 0

    Do FPC get power from FEB?

    I mean if feb 3 is faulty so will fpc 2 not power up?

    Present—FPC is detected by the chassis daemon but either is not supported by the current version of Junos OS or is inserted in the wrong slot. The output also states either Hardware Not Supported or Hardware Not In Right Slot.
    Can you run this command ?
    > show chassis fpc detail

    No,

    I have not done yet, but will ask the end customer to do so.

    I hope reseating FEB 3 is not traffic impacting right?

    Hi swati.pandya@ericss,

    Hard errors which have not cleared evevn after a reseat may be caused by a hardware issue and might require a replacement.

    I would suggest a JTAC case to be opened to confirm if it was a hardware issue and do a replacement if required.
