    Hi Guys,

    Hope someone can help me with this. Spend 8 hours to solve but failed. Basically trying to setup a vSRX lab in GNS3, it slowed down my machine horribly, always at 99% CPU usage - almost unusable now.

    Full details:

    vSRX - junos-vsrx-12.1X47-D15.4

    VirtualBox 5.2

    GNS3 1.4.4

    OS is Windows 10 on esxi

    Allocated 4 CPU 3.75

    RAM 12GB

    Created 2 vSRX, connected via ge-0/0/0 -> ge-0/0/0

    Result: Both srx(virtualbox vm) is running at 99% CPU usage.

    Googled and found people advising idle-pc setting, but i dont see any such feature in GNS3(when i right click on my Junos device).

    Could you please help here? Is there any other alternatives to avoid high CPU usage, or even alternative to GNS3? Any advise for a good lab setup for JNCIA?

    Thanks.

    Since you have ESXi setup, you can directly deploy vSRX on it.

    Hello,

    In 2019, Juniper vLabs (free after registering) are the way to go

    Thanks this saved my day!
    I was struggling in configure vSRX on GNS3  it didn't work and there isn't any savvy community able to handle troubleshooting, so your tip of used labs from here was the best choice.
