    Does anyone know if I can assign IPs via xauth on my SRX240?  I believe it was supposed to be supported back in December with 10.4 but I can't get verification of that.

    10.4R1.9 does grant addresss assignment pool for the access profiles to use for client VPN

    Is that the recommended release for the SRX240 or is there a more up to date release? I can't figure out the Junos roadmap. I'm pretty sure there are graduate courses that I would need to take to understand it.

    I would recommend 10.4R3 if you need ip pool feature with xauth. It was just released yesterday, but initial feedback seems positive so far. Give that a try and let us know if this works well for you.

    BTW. You may find Dynamic VPN app note for 10.4 quite useful.
