Junos Space Network Management Platform uses SNMP to discover network elements (devices, links, and ports) that are connected to the specified target devices and subnets. The Junos Space server uses SNMP probes to contact the targeted devices and obtain the relevant management information base (MIB) needed to compute the topology.
