  • 1.  SRX1500 SFP ports 100Mbps

Can the SFP ports on SRX1500 support 100Mbps?

I have some older equipment to connect up to SRX that has 100Mbps ports
    Ran out of fixed ports
Have connected it to ge-0/0/15 which has SRX-SFP-1GE-T in slot.
Can configure it for 100Mbps but it won't come up.

Tested with a laptop connected to interface at 1Gbps and works, tested with laptop at 100Mbps  and doesn't come up.
Tried lots of combinations with cabling, negotiation, speed

The SFP spec suggests it can be 10/100/1000 Mbps
The SRX1500 hardware guide says it is 100/1000 SFP port

I've not done this on the SRX1500 but on other platforms to get the 100m working reliably we had to set the specific ether options for all three parameters
    • no auto negotiation
    • speed 100
    • duplex
