    Hi!
I have SRX 240 and SRX 340. Both are on the table in the same room.
    SRX240:
    itbn@R-M29-01> show chassis environment
    Class Item Status Measurement
    Temp Routing Engine OK 44 degrees C / 111 degrees F
          Routing Engine CPU OK 42 degrees C / 107 degrees F
Fans SRX240 PowerSupply fan 1 OK Spinning at normal speed
SRX240 PowerSupply fan 2 OK Spinning at normal speed
SRX240 CPU fan 1 OK Spinning at normal speed
SRX240 CPU fan 2 OK Spinning at normal speed
SRX240 IO fan 1 OK Spinning at normal speed
SRX240 IO fan 2 OK Spinning at normal speed
    Power Power Supply 0 OK

    itbn@R-M29-01> show chassis fan
          Item Status RPM Measurement
SRX240 PowerSupply fan 1 OK 1500 Spinning at normal speed
SRX240 PowerSupply fan 2 OK 2250 Spinning at normal speed
SRX240 CPU fan 1 OK 1500 Spinning at normal speed
SRX240 CPU fan 2 OK 2250 Spinning at normal speed
SRX240 IO fan 1 OK 750 Spinning at normal speed
SRX240 IO fan 2 OK 1500 Spinning at normal speed

    SRX340:

    root@SRX-340-1> show chassis environment
    Class Item Status Measurement
    Temp Routing Engine OK 39 degrees C / 102 degrees F
          Routing Engine CPU OK 64 degrees C / 147 degrees F
Fans SRX340 Chassis fan 0 OK Spinning at normal speed
SRX340 Chassis fan 1 OK Spinning at normal speed
SRX340 Chassis fan 2 OK Spinning at normal speed
SRX340 Chassis fan 3 OK Spinning at normal speed
    Power Power Supply 0 OK

    root@SRX-340-1> show chassis fan
          Item Status RPM Measurement
SRX340 Chassis fan 0 OK 3780 Spinning at normal speed
SRX340 Chassis fan 1 OK 3780 Spinning at normal speed
SRX340 Chassis fan 2 OK 3840 Spinning at normal speed
SRX340 Chassis fan 3 OK 3540 Spinning at normal speed

    Is this normal for SRX340?
    Thank you!

I would assume that the newer cpu simply runs hotter.

But to verify all is good confirm there are no alarms
    show chassis alarms

And check what the operating range is for the device
    show chassis temperature-thresholds

    Sorry for not being clear.

The primary source of heat in these devices is not room temperature but the heat given off by the cpu itself.  Newer cpu typically run much hotter generating more heat so this is normal.

The commands are to verify that there are no alarms and therefore no issue with the temperatures you are seeing.
