  • 1.  Format installing QFX5100

    I am having issue installing Junos image on QFX5100. the only option is to format install. 
    I want to know after format  install, whether ports stay down or come up?
    I don't want any liability that would cause L2 loop

    Hi Rahul,

    Switch will bootup with factory default configuration after a format install. Your ports will come up as far as it is connected to a host/switch .
    But you will loose all configurations on the switch and will boot up with default configuration. So you may need to take care of configurations
