  • 1.  Packet Capture for PTX 10001-36MR

    Posted 26 days ago
    Hello Everyone,

Can we packet capture on the PTX10001 Router? I am not finding a way to configure the packet capture options in the edit forwarding options hierarchy. I have a PTX 10001-36MR running 20.4R3-EVO code. Any suggestions or pointers are appreciated.

    Thank you

I believe these are the instructions for EVO packet capture.

Correct! I was going thru the same document but on the current version that I am running, the Junos 20.4R3-EVO code, I am not seeing an option to set packet capture settings, for ex:

    [edit]
    user@host#
    edit forwarding-options
    user@host#
    set packet-capture maximum-capture-size 500

I do not have any option called "set packet-capture <>"

Looking at your platform and version in the feature explorer, it appears that  port forwarding under forwarding options would be the only viable feature for this.  I don't see packet-capture implemented yet on this platform.

Got it! Yeah did just that but really wanted to know if it supported the packet capture feature. However, I could use monitor traffic feature from the CLI which worked too.
