  • 1.  Boot error

    I have an EX2300 Juniper switch  and getting the following error upon booting up.

    Jan 1 00:07:34 init: can't exec getty '/usr/libexec/getty' for port /dev/ttyu0: No such file or directory
    Jan 1 00:08:04 init: can't exec getty '/usr/libexec/getty' for port /dev/ttyu0: No such file or directory
    Jan 1 00:08:34 init: can't exec getty '/usr/libexec/getty' for port /dev/ttyu0: No such file or directory
    Jan 1 00:09:04 init: can't exec getty '/usr/libexec/getty' for port /dev/ttyu0: No such file or directory
    Jan 1 00:09:35 init: can't exec getty '/usr/libexec/getty' for port /dev/ttyu0: No such file or directory

    Any help will be greatly appreciate it.

    You may want to do a format and install. The way I have had to do this due to insufficient storage on the EX2300 is following this KB article.

    Hi there,

     

    Agreed every PIC must not exceed 240G and here are the possible combinations:

     

    Ports speed Combinations in PIC-mode:

    2*100G;

    6*40G;

    6*4*10G;

     

    Ports speed Combinations in port-speed mode:

    All combinations in PIC mode;

    N*40G + M*4*10G,  N+M ≤ 6;

    1*100G + N*40G + M*4*10G,  N+M ≤ 3;

    2*100G + 1*40G;

    2*100G + 1*4*10G.

     

    Please use port-speed only if necessary.
