    Hi,

I'm hoping someone can help me with the following. I'm looking to order MX204, it needs to be able to run routing protocols, OSPF, MPLS but also VPLS. In the past the MX204-P-BASE license has done this but I've now read about the flex licensing but this seems subscription based and I'm not sure what i need. Can i still just get a normal non subscription license to run these features?

Whats more confusing is that I'm also looking at MX104 but this still seems to use non-flex licensing??

The MX204-P-BASE is an EOL/EOS sku.  You know have to use the MX204-HW-BASE which uses the flex licensing model to enable desired features.  The features you mentioned are included in the Advanced license.  Details of the licenses can be found here:

    https://www.juniper.net/documentation/us/en/software/license/licensing/topics/concept/flex-licenses-for-mx-and-service-cards.html

The MX104 does not use flex licensing.

I work for a juniper partner if your looking to get one quoted.  Feel free to PM me.
