Kernel Errors in Log

  • 1.  Kernel Errors in Log

    First  time I've seen these types of errors on our SRX345.  I would assume there is a way to clean these up, besides the good old reboot.

    /kernel: nearing maxproc limit by uid 0, please see tuning(7) and login.conf(5).
    /kernel: Process with Most Children- 0:swapper - Children - 73

    Appreciate the help.

    hello jmorrow,

    I would suggest to open a support ticket and provide them the ff logs;

    -srx>show system boot-messages
    -the rsi logs
    -the var logs

    and the ff::

    srx% sysctl kern.maxproc
    srx% fstat
    srx% ps -aux

    -leangf

    Leangf Leangf

    This might be related to the process limit the platform can run, please run the following command under the shell mode and post the results:

    start shell
    sysctl -a | grep kern.max
